This is the third incarnation of
the Modern Icons Band. Robin and Steve Chambers have been constant. The
stand-up bass player started with Mike Shank, then with Anders Alfelt, and
now with Charlie Burnett.
Robin and Steve are married and
parents to a daughter and twin boys. They have performed together for the
past 18 years, buy only as the Icons since 1989. They have performed as Mad
Turtle in New Mexico and Novel Tease in Lancaster.
Robin is originally from California. She came East when her father, a physics professor, came to Millersville. Robin is currently working on recording her own material as well as doing studio work for various artists.

Steve spent several years as a
solo guitarist/singer and with different duos and trios. He lived in the
West Indies and Seattle. Steve also performs in the
Conestoga Calvary Choir.

Charlie Burnett is a York native.
He plays 21 different musical instruments. Charlie has performed for the
Clintons and has played Carnegie Hall and is a graduate of John Hopkins.
Charlie later played in the group High Falootin and now with
Vinegar Creek Constituency.
